Dear Kootenai Patrons,
I would like to apologize for the lack of communication with regards to our last School Board meeting on December 14. We are complying with the Governor's order of no gatherings of 10 people or more and as such need to restrict public access during meetings to on-line only. I personally take responsibility for not making this more clear to the public, and was in no way trying to hide anything or cover anything up. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you or your family. I also realize that there was an agenda item of high importance to many of you. Because of my lack of communication, some of you were unable to address the board on this topic.
To correct this mistake, there will be a special board meeting on December 18, at 7:00 pm. The only agenda item will be discussion/action of winter sports at Kootenai School District. Due to the Governor's order of gathering restrictions, please email me your comments that you would like to have addressed to the board. My email is wpilloud@sd274.com. The deadline for comments is 6:00pm, December 18.

Student/Family Responsibilities:
· If you have tested positive or have been confirmed to have COVID-19:
o Do not attend school.
o Notify your school of the positive test and your student’s need to be absent.
o Students who have tested positive for COVID-19 or who have not been tested but were directed to stay home from school may return to school under the following conditions (per CDC guidance):
§ At least 10 days since symptoms first appeared AND
§ At least 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications AND
§ Symptoms have improved.

The enclosed form is being randomly mailed to parents. We ask that you respond to the questions and return the form to the school or district office.
Your input allows for ongoing parent/guardian input, which is important in improving the quality of education for all our students. You may obtain additional forms from any school office, the school district's administrative office or by clicking on the following link.
